Tired, but oh so grateful! Got home from Austin about 3 hours ago. I have been putting my house back in order from all the preparations. The hurricane missed my city all together, didn't even get rain, Thank God. My sisters weren't so fortunante. They are going to stay in Austin until they get electricity back on in Alvin. So far they know they have received roof damage and their fence is gone, it appears miniumal considering they were in the storms path, their neighbors weren't so fortunante, severe damage all around them. I thank God for keeping all of us safe. All of my family are well.

Charlene-How is your.... can't remember if it is a sister or an aunt that lives in the houston area. Are they okay?

GU-If I recall correctly you asked on a previous posting if we could guess who your sister is. I am dying to know if I got it right. Is it Randie?

Thanks for asking. Thanks for caring. Be Blessed.

One more quick thing.
Thank you so much for praying. I believe prayer is a powerful tool and weapon. I believe it works! It is what moves the hand of God. Your prayers were answered. Again Thank you so very very much.

Very happy to hear you are okay. God does answer prayers. The true test of Christian character is our ability to hear and accept answers to our prayers that are contrary to what we want personally - and those answers that come on God's time..not ours.

My sister is not in a class yet, but may be joining the Writeriffic class. Not sure yet. So the mystery will have to remain unsolved!

Your absolutley right GU.

Before I made the decision to leave, while in prayer a peace came over me and I began to cry because I knew without a doubt even if my home was to be blown away God would still be with me. He would restore me and be with me through it all.

I not once was concerned about my material positions.

God promised that he will be with us through the storms in our lives. We just need to press in. I know that to be true. I have received many lessons on trust and when I finally submitted it was such freedom. Many many times answers to my prayers were not what I asked for but were exactly what God knew I needed. I trust him even when everything around me looks contrary to his promise.

That kind of trust did not come easy for me but thank God he is patient.

Okay I'm done. Just thought I would share. Thanks again.

Hi Everybody! I just got home from my retreat and couldn't wait to catch up on all of you.

Theresa, Yes it is my Aunt that lives in Houston. I got a message on my phone that they are okay. They didn't leave, but boarded up some windows and waited it out. I don't know if they had any damage yeat. Thanks for asking.

I am so glad you and your family are safe!!!! The pictures out of Galveston look horrible. All of you are definitely in my prayers because I know the rebuilding of cities and trying to get things "back to normal" can be difficult and draining.
